IND vs WI, 1st ODI: Rahul Posts 'Recharge' Workout Session Pics Ahead Of Series Opener

In the absence of the injured opener Shikhar Dhawan, the Karnataka right-hander will look to cement his place at the top of the order along with Rohit Sharma.

India opener KL Rahul is keen on extending his good run of batting form into the ODI series against West Indies after his stellar show with the willow in the recently concluded T20 series against the 'Maroon Brigade'. Kohli-led India will be locking horns with West Indies in the first of three match One-Day International series, slated to be played at the MA Chidambaram stadium in Chennai later in the day. Rahul, who chipped in with 62 in the first T20I and a match winning 91 run knock in the series finale at Mumbai to help the 'Men in Blue' clinch the series 2-1, posted pictures of his workout session on Twitter, with the caption: "Recharge". In 23 ODIs, Rahul has amassed 704 runs with an average of 39.11. In the absence of Shikhar Dhawan, who is injured, the Karnataka right-hander will look to cement his place at the top of the order along with Rohit Sharma. In the shortest format of the game, Rahul is almost a certainty for the T20I World Cup in October next year. In the last T20I in Mumbai, Rahul hit a 56-ball 91 to help India win by 67 runs.
