Shakib Al Hasan & Boys Will Give India A Tough Fight In T20Is, Says Laxman

V.V.S. Laxman however, reckons that the series against the Bangla Tigers will be a 'competitive' one and that Shakib Al Hasan and boys will give India a tough fight

Team India’s next challenge is against Bangladesh after their successful Test campaign against the Proteas. Former India cricketer V.V.S. Laxman however, reckons that the series against the Bangla Tigers will be a 'competitive' one and that Shakib Al Hasan and boys will give India a tough fight. Virat &Co. will lock horns with Bangladesh when they take on each other in the first T20I on November 3 as the three-match T20I series gets underway in the Capital. Laxman, who is a Star Sports expert, spoke on the upcoming series on Nerolac Cricket Live and said: "I feel India versus Bangladesh series is going to be a competitive one. The Bangladesh squad is more experienced than the current South Africa team and most of the Bangladesh players are also in good form. The Bangladesh team has grown over the years and cannot be taken lightly considering they always give a tough fight to the Indian team in T20Is." India will take on Bangladesh in a three-match T20I series followed by a two-match Test series. While the Bangladesh players are currently on strike, President-elect Sourav Ganguly is confident that the Bangladesh Cricket Board will solve the issue with the players and the series won't be hampered. "Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has confirmed she will come. We will now send the invitation to India Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. It will be for the first day of the second Test," Ganguly said at the Cricket Association of Bengal. "We will write to the Bangladesh board now to also invite the Bangladesh players of their first Test match who played against India. I will write as BCCI President after I get elected to the players of that team (Indian as well). We will do a felicitation at the end of the first day's play," he said.
