WATCH: Hardik Pandya's 'Road To Recovery' After Successful Back Surgery

Pandya was not picked for the ongoing three-match Test series against South Africa after he aggravated his back during T20I series against Proteas

Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya, who underwent a surgery to treat his lower back, took to Twitter to share a video of his 'journey to attain full-fitness'. Pandya’s back injury had forced him to fly to the United Kingdom to consult the same doctor, who treated him during India's tour of England in 2018 and the 2019 World Cup. The all-rounder was not picked for the ongoing three-match Test series against South Africa after he aggravated his back during T20I series against Proteas. "Baby steps .. but my road to full fitness begins here and now. Thank you to everyone for their support and wishes, it means a lot," Hardik Pandya captioned his Twitter video. Pandya, who is still in recovery mode, is set to miss home T20I series against Bangladesh, starting November 3 in India. The 25-year-old, who has an experience of playing 40 T20Is, will be an integral part of Indian squad in next year's World T20 in Australia. Earlier, Pandya had posted an image on Instagram with a caption: "Surgery done successfully. Extremely grateful to everyone for your wishes. Will be back in no time! Till then miss me."
